You have an opportunity to build your new home and office with approaches that promote your health and preserve the resale value of your building. This is an investment that will provide comfort while saving you money in life-cycle costs.

Environmental Design and Inspection Services offers a comprehensive package to make this a reality, working closely with you, your architect / designer and your builder. If you are outside Minnesota or surrounding states, I will work in close cooperation with a local Building Biologist for on-site inspection and co-management of your design and construction according to these principles.

The package includes twelve hours of consultation time, as follows:

• A two hour initial consultation with you, the homeowner. This initial meeting can include your architect / designer / builder if they have already been retained.
• Four additional hours of consultation with you and your architect / designer / builder and subcontractors.
• Specific instructions for your electrical and plumbing contractors.
• Four hours of on-site inspection and oversight during construction, including a final walk-through and new homeowner education, if you are in Minnesota and surrounding states. Otherwise the services of a local Building Biologist are utilized for on-site inspection and co-management.
• Two hours of telephone consultation with you during construction.

For out of state clients this service is provided by telephone, email and fax in association with a local Building Biologist, if possible.

The total cost for the package is $850. An initial payment of $250 is expected at the time of the first consultation and the remainder is due in installments as the work progresses. Consultation time spent in excess of this package is billed at the rate of $75 per hour.

The initial consultation can occur as an information gathering meeting before committing to the service. The fee is $250. If you decide to proceed with the rest of the consultation service, the initial $250 is applied to the package price.
