Healthy Homes: Part 4
Radio Frequencies (Cell Phones and Cordless Phones)

Note: The fourth article in the series, covering Radio Frequencies, was never written prior to the lecture given on the same topic in the spring of 2004, but I do invite you to review important articles on the dangers of cell phone use that provided the information for the lecture.

The articles are presented under the heading, "Electrical Sensitivity: A Growing Global Concern" and are posted on the website for the non-profit Association for Comprehensive Neurotherapy. They are intented to show, "How wireless technology may impact child development and central nervous system functioning."

The topics covered in the articles include:

  • Children and mobile phone use: Is there a health risk? The case for extra precautions
  • Electrical Sensitivity
  • What Americans Need to Know about Radiation (or EMR) from Wireless Communications
  • Consumer Reports on Cell Phone safety: February 2003 issue
  • The Dark Side of Wireless Technology
  • A Possible Association Between Fetal/neonatal Exposure to Radiofrequency Electromagnetic Radiation and the Increased Incidence of Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • A Physician Petition: the Freiburger Appeal

You will also find a host of important articles about the health hazards of cell phone use on Dr. Mercola's website, including an August 31, 2005 article entitled Cell Phones Can Damage Your Eyes. Dr. Mercola comments on this recent finding and gives additional information on cell phone hazards and how to protect yourself, including the use of an air tube headset.

You will also find links to articles and scientific research papers on the dangers of wireless communications on the page Cell Phone and Radio Frequency Risks.
